Video of the Day

So as I'm trying to gather music to help me write a piece that shall remain nameless until further notice, I find this video.

It's some guy trying to beat Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic Generations for the first time.

I thought the video was amazing. Unscripted, entertaining fun. Reminds me of my first playthrough against the guy (although I wasn't as bad as this guy).

Still, I found it entertaining. Maybe you do too.

Brendan's Progress, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Sonic Generations Music

Brendan's Progress (aka the NaNoWriMo part)

So as of time of this post, I've got 9297 words complete.

It's still a bit slow, as I don't exactly have this story where I want it yet, and I think between a combination of actually attempting some kind of character development and overall bullshitting, there's a legit explanation of why I'm not wholly excited over what I'm currently writing.

That just means that I'm not being over the top enough. Which makes sense. Other than a few bits here and there, this has been a rather ho-hum experience.

But what's keeping me going, maybe more so than the desire to actually hit the 50,000 word mark by the end of the month, is the knowledge of exactly where this novel is going. There are certain events of this story that I've gone over a ridiculous number of times in my head, especially while I'm at work, and the more I think about it, the more ridiculous I make it, and... well, it's going to be ridiculous. That's all I can say. Like, there's going to be this huge turning point in the story that makes no sense before we get to yet another turning point in the story that makes no sense, but it'll all tie together somehow because I think that I actually have a goal for the character that is Brendan. I've made him into something, and I think I may be trying a little too hard to establish to the reader what I've made him as, and throughout the course of the book, he's going to do some amazing things....

I just wish the beginning of this didn't suck so bad. But I just gotta press on. I can edit shit to be better or out completely when it's all said and done, but for now... just keep on pressing.

This is definitely a masterpiece in the making.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter

You know how you get bored one day and you decide to try something new?
Or, better for this particular piece of the blog, you get bored and you try to explore something that you dabbled in for a bit but finally decided, with nothing else to, to actually try to immerse yourself into a new experience with that dabbling?
Even better for this part... ever had access to a video game and played it for a bit, but set it to the side, and then randomly decided to give it a deeper, truer shot?

This is what happened with X-Men vs. Street Fighter. This game was on my computer, mostly to watch some epic battles between top players on GGPO. Randomly, however, I decided that I wanted to play it and actually try to get good at it (or at least as good at it as I am in Marvel vs. Capcom 1).

And man, this game is really fucking intense.
And man, this game is much better than Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Like, I'm playing this game, right? And I'm currently getting an interesting feel for Cyclops. And his combos are pretty cool, but require some interesting timing. And then combined with the rules within the system of the game, PLUS SIX ATTACK BUTTONS (that's 2.5 more attack buttons than MvC3 has), you can actually show some kind of creativity in your combo. And that creativity can lead to mad mix-ups. And those mad mix-ups can lead to you losing 100% of your life for free before you even know what happened. No X-Factor needed.

And I think that's what's really satisfying about this game... being able to pull off combos that do a shit turd of damage with your own hands, not some bullshit embedded in the game. X-Men vs. Street Fighter has rules in its game system that try to keep infinite combos out, but all it does is add to your creativity, figuring out what moves have what properties, and using those properties to either get around the rules or break them entirely.

And being able to learn this stuff is a wonderful, intense experience. Much more satisfying than any silly ass combo I ever learned in MvC3, especially when they're the only real combos that make more sense to use.

Sonic Generations Music...

...is so fucking amazing.

As it stands right now...
Here's my Top 5

5) Crisis City

4) Toxic Caves

3) Stardust Speedway

2) Vs. Shadow

1) Open Your Heart remix

I can sit here and tell you that I haven't even heard everything, so this list is subject to change.

But I doubt it.

Wait a Second... What About Apex?

Yeah..... still haven't gotten around to practicing any type of Smash at all. Between work, and now NaNoWriMo and the desire to play Sonic Generations over anything, plus WWE '12 coming soon... I'm clearly going to lose every possible set if I don't go MetaKnight...

I might have to summon my inner douche and actually play MetaKnight to get a win, too.

Also, Apex 2012 now has Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition (with that new patch) and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on deck. Now... hmm, I don't think I made that post about SSF4:AE and how I had been playing the game on the low and how I don't think the game is that bad except that it's simply not SSF2:Turbo and thus I find it really slow these days, but yeah. That's kinda the reason why I'm not entering that.

But Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3... well, I may actually play that game a bit more regularly than I did its vanilla counterpart...
It solely depends on how Captain America feels when I play him. I read some of his changes... between getting his double jump back and getting his Shield Slash to OTG again, he just might feel like good ol' CapUSA from the MvC1 days.

And that's where the fun begins... Cap, Zero, Strider, anyone?

I may throw Vergil in there somewhere though... or Dormammu... I've been fucking with his firestorm shit... it's too funny to see 36 random hits come from changing the color of my hands.

All of those characters would have much more fun gameplay if they were in XvSF's system...

My Final Verdict on Sonic Generations

So the game came out today.

I played. Got pretty close to beat it, but due to time constraints, couldn't quite beat it. Only thing left to see theoretically is two bosses.

That said, I think I played enough of the game to review it.

Graphics:
This game is beautiful. I was playing and watching Crisis City go by and it almost made me wanna play Sonic '06. Almost. Planet Wisp looks amazing too... that whole Wii vs. HD stuff makes a difference.

There are a few cases where I feel like Classic Sonic levels shouldn't be so detailed because I seriously saw a platform just float from foreground into the background (fuck you Crisis City). Otherwise, it's sick. As in awesome.

Sound:
The music already makes this game 5 times better than it had to be... aside from the modern City Escape remix. I still think that the original City Escape is infinitely superior to any version in Sonic Generations, but maybe you like them, and they aren't bad. Just preference.

And then you have situations where you win music from doing certain challenges, finding a certain amount of red rings, and other stuff. And then you have situations where you can choose to play certain music for certain challenges. That makes the game 10 times better on top of the 5 times better than it had to be. For some reason, I was blasting the Toxic Caves Remix to any rival battle and doppelganger race. I'm sure that the more music you crack open, the more fantastic personal choices you can make for any given challenge.

And the sound effects... all your classic stuff is all there.

Controls:
I have a minor issue with the controls...
1) Classic Sonic's jump feels like it's too low to me... like Classic Knuckles' jump or something.
2) There are times where I try to homing attack with Modern Sonic, and it just doesn't come out.

I feel like issue 1 is definitely design based. While there aren't any places that can't be passed due to Classic Sonic's lower feeling jump, I do kind of find it a pain.
Issue 2 is probably all my fault. lol.

Otherwise. There doesn't seem to be much of an issue with the controls... Oh yeah... drifting? Fuck drifting. Then learn how to drift. Then be amazed at how drifting works.

Gameplay:
I still stand by my statement that the game is too short. I also stand by my statement that there are levels that should have made the cut. But damn it if they didn't pad it as much as possible.

You have 3 eras, 3 levels per era, and 2 acts per era. That's 18 acts. Each act has 5 challenges, so that's virtually 90 levels or something like that. Technically, you should have to only play, like, 18 acts, but the game is such that after you complete each era (or 6 acts), you gotta do 3 more challenges before moving on to the boss... so it's like 9 acts, and then a boss. And that doesn't include what is probably the mandatory Rival Battles that have fake hedgehogs just chilling.

Whatever the case may be, Sega extended the hell out of the few levels that they had in the game.

As far as the game itself is concerned... it's plenty of fun. And it's not quite the easy quest that Sonic Colors was... these levels do get rather challenging towards the end... or towards Sky Sanctuary depending on how fast you think you should be able to go as Sonic the Hedgehog.

These levels, however, are huge. Instead of the micro levels that Sonic Colors had, they just gave us Huge levels in Sonic Generations. Eventually, you'll look at the time and be glad that the 10 minute time limit doesn't exist. Seriously. Some of these levels are one hell of a quest on their own.

And then you have the challenges. Some of them are easy, some of them are ridiculous, but all of them seem pretty cool. And of course, everything is ranked. They start at D, and end in S. And some of those S ranks are harder than they come off... I would know.

Overall:
This game is plenty of fun. I still think it's too short, and I still think that there should have been more levels. Hell, if Tails can be like how he didn't remember Green Hill but found Chemical Plant very familiar by its smell, I see no reason why there couldn't have been a Carnival Nigh reference.

That said, I don't think Sega was lazy with this game like I first believed. They definitely put in a lot of work into this package, and levels that should have made the cut aside, this is a very complete package.

If you're a Sonic fan of any kind, you should definitely check this game out. It's incredible by all kinds of gaming standards.

some extra notes:

  • Seriously though. The best part of this game has got to be the music.
  • And my favorite level is Speed Highway.
  • Silver has gained my respect... that Rival Battle...
  • But why all the bosses so weak though? Four hits?
  • Shadow, however, proved to be the worthiest opponent in my opinion... like, you gotta beat rings out of him and whatnot lolol.

November 1st is Going to be Intense...

Why?

Well, two things:

1) Sonic Generations is being released.
2) NaNoWriMo begins!

So with Sonic Generations being released, it's pretty much a given that it's going to be played and beaten in a day, just like Sonic Colors was. Well, most of you actually have no idea that Sonic Colors was beaten in a day, but yeah. I'm relatively sure that this game is going to be shorter than Sonic Colors, but it will be awesome regardless.

I'm also going to have to throw up a review of the game. I can already see it now... Game's awesome, but shit. It's too short.

And then there's NaNoWriMo. The beginning of a quest to write a book containing 50,000 words. That means about 1,700 words a day. And I have a feeling that this first day is going to have an intense chapter or two to start off, because I'm pretty much just going to go off and allow my many frustrations of work and otherwise let loose...

It's going to be awesome.

I see great things for this day. Great things.

To everyone complaining about my Sonic Generations complaints....

"The game isn't out, but like a stereotypical Sonic-fan, finds something to complain about before the release. Can't even be happy with how well the game is progressing but complains about a "possible" leaked stage list. I give the review a 2/10"

"wow you sound like the other sonic fans bitch and cry about everything ... what next oh his shoes are wrong .. just enjoy the game and stop over think shit noob"

So... in other words... because I am a Sonic fan, I should just be happy with what I get? I can't be critical about anything at all?

Like, view those two comments up there... it's pretty clearly trolling, but I like feeding trolls, so I'm going to dedicate an entire fucking blog to them, because this is bullshit.

Overall, both comments are complaining about my complaint about the game possibly being too short. Apparently, I, as a Sonic fan, should be happy that the game is any good at all, regardless of the length, or lack thereof. Well, let's examine that, shall we?

First off, my complaint directly has something to do with the game play. What part, you ask? Replay value. The easiest, cheapest, dirtiest way to generate replay value is to have a large number of levels.

But what if the game sucks?

When we cross that bridge, we'll talk about it... I thoroughly enjoy the direction that Sonic Generations is going in. The demo showcased what Classic Sonic is all about since we already know what Modern Sonic is all about, and I love everything that is Classic Sonic game play. My review of the demo mentioned a few hiccups that the super meticulous fan would notice if compared directly to the Genesis Sonic games, but those hiccups aren't bothering me. Why? Because the experience is fun, more fun than Sonic 4.

So if I know I'm going to enjoy Modern Sonic, and after having played with Classic Sonic, I love what's in store for Classic Sonic as well, it's clear to me that the formula works. I didn't mention sound... I love Sonic sounds... both music and sound effects, it's one thing that Sonic games do right practically all the time. I didn't mention graphics. I could see Sonic, I could the enemies, I could see where I was going... The graphics fucking work.

All in all, the formula fucking works. You don't see me complaining about Modern Sonic's quills not being of the right length or Classic Sonic's belly being too round or not round enough. You don't see me complaining that Sonic's shoe color is off. No. You don't see that. At all.

You see me complaining about the number of levels that showed up when the demo was hacked. You see me complaining not about the levels themselves, but the fact that I'm hoping it isn't a complete list of levels. You see me even admit that my first reaction to seeing the list was a negative knee jerk reaction, and you see me admit that I'm hoping that there are more levels that simply haven't been revealed.

But apparently, because I'm a Sonic fan, I can't complain about that. I should just be happy with what we got.

You do realize that this game wouldn't exist if Sonic fans were just happy with what we got, right? You do realize that this game wouldn't exist if we were happy with hedgehogs on motorcycles, hedgehogs in glitched up games, hedgehogs turning into werehogs, and hedgehogs that don't abide by the natural rules of gravity and momentum, right? You do realize that the craziness and the madness of the Sonic fandom is the reason why this game exists, right? The silly complaint about the blue eyes and the slender body is a part of the reason why this game exists... you realize that, right?

If me complaining that I want more than 10 levels of what is looking like a Sonic game that I am anticipating will knock Sonic Colors off my personal top three list of favorite Sonic games is a problem when there have been many more ridiculous complaints before this, then Fuck you.

Edit: And to think... people thought I was bitching about this game...

My Thoughts on Sonic Generations

I played the Sonic Generations demo last night/early this morning.

My mind is blown.

If you are one of the unlucky ones who haven't gotten to play the demo yet, the demo is a single level, Green Hill as Classic Sonic. And from this one level, I'm going to analyze, speculate, and otherwise demoralize Sonic Generations...

The Good
I'm pretty sure that, as a Sonic fan, you already know how the Modern Sonic levels are going to play for the most part. They look like Sonic Unleashed's daytime levels and Sonic Colors without the Wisps. That's pretty much set in stone. It's only a matter of little details, the most of which won't matter much because you're out there blazing paths, flying through the air, and grinding on rails at 500+ mph.

But how about that Classic Sonic stuff? I believe that this was the purpose of the demo... to showcase what Classic Sonic is all about. And I do like what I see.

Classic Sonic operates like Classic Sonic should... unlike Sonic 4. We have momentum, we have platforming, we lack a homing attack, so on and so forth. There are still a few hiccups for the super meticulous between Genesis Sonic games and Classic Sonic here and now, but overall, I feel as though this is going to put on a much better performance than Sonic 4 Episode 1 did. (whatever happened to Sonic 4? Did it die?)

And that spindash........ I FUCKING LOVE THAT SPINDASH!

Say what you want about how fast and inaccurate from the past games it may be, but this Spin Dash is essentially saying, "We know we fucked up, so we're just gonna make it broken and mindblowingly awesome to make up for lost time." Yes, that what this overpowered spin dash is doing... making up for lost time. I'm sure there are more than enough assholes complaining about it, but I say fuck that. Embrace this ridiculously awesome spindash. I honestly hope that it stays in the final version.

The Bad
You knew this was coming, but honestly, "The Bad" isn't that bad.

Game play wise, I think the game is going to be great. Phenomenal even. Like, I can possibly seeing this game bump Sonic Colors out of it's number 3 spot in my list of top 3 Sonic games... Which, for the curious, is:

  1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles
  2. Sonic 2
  3. Sonic Colors

However, the one thing that will keep it out of the top three is the length. I'm not going to spoil it here, but if you know how to use Google and stuff, you can probably find out that the demo was already hacked and a number of interesting things were found, including a [what might not and hopefully isn't complete] list of levels that will be in the game. Now I have nothing against the levels that are on this list at all. However, I feel like there is no way this list can be complete... When I first saw it, I had a negative knee jerk reaction about the lack of levels involved, but after giving it a second thought, I look at the list and it just feels incomplete. I just hope I'm right about it.

And that's about it. That, right now, is my only qualm about Sonic Generations. That level list needs expansion. And the thing is... the game comes out in November, and it's June, practically July, so essentially, the list of levels is pretty much decided.

The other thing that bothers me is DLC... like, okay, whatever, Sonic Levels as DLC... FUCK THAT SHIT. JUST PUT ALL THE GOTDAMN LEVELS IN THE GOTDAMN GAME. Yet another problem with the video game industry... whatever. You know what? Fuck you. Pay me.

And I think DLC is going to be the one thing that keeps Sonic Generations from being better than Sonic Colors... if, you know, Sonic Generations comes with only the levels that have already been discovered in the list. If the game gets as many, or close to as many levels as Sonic Colors did off the bat, then we have something, and DLC won't be so bad... but hey... you know...

Oh, you don't know? Money first, fan satisfaction later.

And it's times like this I'm glad that the Wii isn't capable of DLC... it's the biggest ripoff in gaming since the XBox itself.

Zones that I Want to See in Sonic Generations

So with Sonic Generations on the way (and possibly more than half way complete), there are the levels that I want to see in this game.

Spring Yard Zone
I personally think that it would be soooo cool to see this level rendered in 3D. I would also love to see how they design this level around the boosting of Modern Sonic.

Labyrinth Zone
I feel like this has to be the water level of choice from the classic games. Even with a spin dash, I think it’s the most difficult of the water levels from the Sega Genesis days. I also think it has the best song of the water levels in the Genesis games as well.

Oil Ocean Zone
I feel like Oil Ocean Zone is too unique of a level to NOT put in a game like this, but I also feel like Oil Ocean Zone is too complex of a zone for them to bother rendering in 3D… but is it really that complex? Replace bottomless pit with oil, given Modern Sonic the ability to boost over it like water, possibly bring back the ol’ oil swimming trick… The possibilities here are pretty cool.

Marble Gardens Zone
The problem here is that it seems that I’m part of the minority, as I seem to be the only person I ever met that really enjoyed this zone. The steep hills and the variation of moving platforms made this level a classic in my opinion, and doing this in 3D has tons of potential to be awesome.

Carnival Night Zone
The basis of this desire is the historical impact of Act 2’s impassible barrel. Not only is there the potential to have Sonic remember not knowing how to pass this level, but this level was pretty intense on its own, with the various elements that had you going in all directions, random flooding initiated by Knuckles, and a boss that tried to be Magneto. Awesome.

Launch Base Zone
This was an awesome level that housed the Death Egg. It was an awesome level. Awesome music. Awesome cut scenes. It was just awesome, but I fear that its awesomeness will keep it out of the game.

Hidden Palace Zone
BRING BACK THE MASTER EMERALD! AND THE SUPER EMERALDS WHILE YOU’RE AT IT.

Death Egg Zone
The Death Egg is a terrible weapon… like seriously, what devastation his the Death Egg caused? Absolutely nothing. That’s not to say that the level, the music, and the bosses that this level produced weren’t awesome. And who knows, maybe Sonic Generations will actually make the Death Egg a legit threat.
Just one level from Sonic 3D Blast
Irony wants this to happen.

Any Level From Sonic 3D Blast
Irony would like to see this happen.

Resort Island
Can you feel the Sunshine? Does it brighten up your Day?
(I don't think I will ever understand the "Tails Doll Curse." But it would be sooooo awesome if it was referenced in Sonic Generations.)

Ice Cap Zone
Ice Cap Zone is a unique case where 2D Sonic can do the Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3 and 3D Sonic can do the Ice Cap Zone from Sonic Adventure. It would be interesting to see something like that, but I feel that Ice Cap Zone should show up in some capacity.

City Escape
YEAH! LET’S SEE A 2D CITY ESCAPE! City Escape is an amazing level… it really is, and I’d love to see both Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic wreck it.

Radical Highway
It matters to me not that Radical Highway is Shadow’s counterpart of Sonic’s City Escape (or that one could try to be funny and call it Mission Street). I want this level in here too. It was equally as awesome.

Green Forest
The energy of Green Forest is just awesome. Even if eight minutes is more than enough time to get through the level to keep everyone from being blown to smithereens, the level is frikin epic.

Pumpkin Hill
This is simply me asking for too much… maybe a quick reference via Sky Rail?

Pyramid Cave
Well why not? Pyramid Cave was also a very amazing level… had a flow that was very unique to the rest of the speed levels, and it introduced you to the godlike bounce attack, which is arguably Sonic’s 2nd best attack. Yeah, even better than the Homing Attack.

Final Rush
Come on. It’s Final Rush. This level was soooo amazing back in the day, and when I play it now, I still get this tingly feeling inside as I launch off that rocket onto the first rail in this chaotic looking level that hovers quite dangerously in outer space.

Grand Metropolis
In Sonic Heroes, I believe that Grand Metropolis was the only level that you could complete with Sonic and Sonic only (I don’t know if this was the case with other teams though). Since this is the only level you can complete with just Sonic, they might as well put it in. Still, really, all I wanna see is one Sonic Heroes level get wrecked by Modern and Classic Sonic and I’m good.

Air Fleet
This was my favorite level from the game Shadow the Hedgehog. Honestly, though, I don’t expect this level to show up. There’s nothing necessarily defining about it, it’s rather “regular” in terms of significance. However, I feel that this is one of the better designed levels in that game. If I’m very, very lucky, Sonic Team will think so as well.

At this point, I don’t really care what levels show up. Sonic 0Shit had some potential and whatnot, but… well, yeah. And Sonic Unleashed… I mean, they’re there. Something should show up.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sonic Team doesn’t include levels from Sonic Colors, however. And as great as that game was, it wouldn’t necessarily bother me.

Hmmm... I wonder if any zone from the portable games will be visited...

Sonic Generations, Mortal Kombat 9, New Nintendo Console

SONIC GENERATIONS!

So I'm sure you saw the game play trailers of Sonic Generations by now. If you haven't, here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsEj-heCGbE

Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wuj-6T_ymqg&feature=player_embedded

For those not in the know, the story has to do with Modern Sonic being sent through time by some unknown enemy. He will eventually have to team up with his Classic counterpart and will go through a bunch of the "defining levels" all across the history of the Sonic games. Classic Sonic will play like Classic Sonic, with physics that attempt to emulate the classics... a spin dash. Yes. A real spin dash. He will also play in 2D. Modern Sonic will play like Modern Sonic, with homing attack and boosts, and will be in 3D. This sounds like it's going to be amazing combination of play styles.

My only worry at this point is the levels that Sega will select to put in the game. I worry that there will be, like 5 green levels in it, Oil Ocean won't be in it, Launch Base won't be in it, and Radical Highway won't be in it. I also feel like Carnival Night should definitely be in it, simply because of the heartache that Act 2 of that zone has cause many a Sonic fan. Still, it will be interesting to see 2D renditions of 3D levels and 3D renditions of 2D levels. I also hope to see more than enough Sonic Heroes levels get butchered. :-)

MOOR-TAL KOOMMMBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

Played Mortal Kombat 9 yesterday. Honestly, I feel like this is easily the best Mortal Kombat game by far, and from me, a guy who has despised MK, that saying quite a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some people out there saying, "Hell no! This MK is trash! Especially compared to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3!" But I see a ton of gameplay improvements in this game. Things that still bother me about MK, such as fatalities with the same value as a kick to the shin and the uniform attacks (everyone still has that same damn uppercut), but I feel like there's a whole lot more involved in the midst of the actual fight. The characters have a more individual feel amongst their normal attacks, and there are more options available with the addition of the super bar, such as powered up specials, combo breakers and the X-Ray Supers. I feel like the might is a more involved experience now. Of course, like I said, this clutter could be the reason an older fan might not like it, so I'm gonna try to find

MK9's Tag Mode is amazing. It got a 4 player mode within the tag mode, it has assists and tag attacks... AND THERE'S NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING that allows the losing team to randomly make an overpowered comeback. The better team wins, and that's how it should be.

Overall, it's a fun game. I'm maining Sindel at the moment, I might pick up Smoke, and I might take this game semi-seriously.... definitely more so than X-Factor vs. Capcom 3.

A New Nintendo System is on the Horizon...

You might have heard that Nintendo is going to reveal a new video game console at E3 (which is in June, for those not in the know). Here's what I'm managed to gather about the system based on info around the internet (all of which may be 100% wrong, so take it with a grain of salt)

  • The system will have backwards compatibility with the Wii. (but does that make it backwards compatible with GameCube games?)
  • The controller will have a 6-inch HD screen on it. (controllers already cost an arm and a leg... do people really wanna buy a controller that cost an arm, a leg, and a kidney?)
  • The system will be more powerful than PS3 or 360. (so that means HD... but will it have the same bland, uniform graphics of earth-like, unoriginal realism, or will Nintendo's happy colors look even more vibrant than before?)
  • The system wants to "recapture" the "hardcore" audience. (1- Does this mean that F-Zero's coming back? 2- Why not just make games... for everyone? Like they used to? That's too hard, isn't it?)
On many of the websites I got the info from (via google, it's all there, and probably more), I noticed that people have claimed that the Wii's sales have been sluggish lately. Well no shit; Wii dominated sales for what, 2 - 4 years. I could see why sales would slow down (especially with the lack of decent, presentable, must-buy content... shhhhh) and why other system could have the opportunity to catch up (especially since said other systems have new, motion sensor equipped doohickies... shhhhhh) (or maybe it's because Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are the same price.... $49.99... shhhhhhh). Wii not being on top of sales per month anymore isn't that big of a deal considering the vast domination it held for a considerable period of time.

Oh well, whatever. Continue to hate Nintendo until the next system proves to give people reason to actually hate the system, at which point people will actually love Nintendo again. I want SNES 2. That would be amazing.

Well, this is running rather long. I'll stop right here. Within the next few blogs, I'll post up what I want to see from both Sonic Generations and the Next Nintendo Console.
