RPJ's grandma got ran over by a raindeer!
RPJ (aka Jacko Badguy Jackson) didn't like that, so with the help of Cyron (aka Romeo Henderson), he taped a note on the raindeer and it said "This raindeer is defective," then he used the RPBat and executed a Solo Shot to send it back to the North Pole in style.

I've always noticed in your writing that it seems to have more of a screen writing element. (Lots of dialogue )
You could possibly look up the art of screen writing and maybe even start cartoon writing or something along those lines.

I think that the most intense and unexpected thing I ever wrote was a part of a story where Marko Man, drunk on evil, Artificial Power, destroyed the five boroughs of New York + Long Island... never did finish that story....

As much as I love Team Epic, Untouchable X (Jacko Badguy Jackson & Jeffrey Butler) DEFINITELY has to get some burn in the Marko Man series. The dynamic between them is too comical.

Hmmm... not much content on FaceBook... talk about neglected.
Well, the removal process is as complete as I think it's going to get. I left up the Untitled Internet Finale, and I left up my battle vs. Sephiroth, which is sure to be deleted within a week or so.

It's been fun, but it's time to step up to the big leagues. For real this time.

I'm still going to be on facebook and whatnot. i've just been on this epic quest to remove my Marko Man series from xanga, myspace, and facebook... brought back some awesome memories. so when i say i'm going to step up to the big leagues, i mean in terms of writing. i'll never forget where i came from... or at least i will embrace the occasional reminders.

During the White Virus War

The HQ Virus and MCJ each had an extremely high power level, the highest power levels seen in Nessasis so far. MCJ had a small smile on his face because he knew that, but he knew that he still had business to handle. "I'm gong to wipe that smile off your face," the HQ Virus said. "Please," MCJ said. "You had to absorb over eight million White Viruses just to match our power. You couldn't wipe shit off your own ass at this rate!"

During the No Holds Barred Tournament (this wasn't especially interesting, but it made me lol)

Gahuno's gun glowed for about a second, then shot a small but powerful energy blast at Len who was on his way to hitting the ground on his back. The Ultra Death Shot connected, blowing Len up on contact. Len was dead. "And the winner, by way of murder..." T. Dre announced, "Gahuno!"

All of the crowd except the heroes that came to see Marko and MyTMouse fight went wild after the victory. "You see that?" Takeisha said. "He just killed him!"

"I think it's awesome," Dappa said. "Now we can see what Marko and Mouse are really made of."

Character Change Notes Part 2 of 3: MIKE!

So yesterday, I posted some notes on Marko Man's changes. In generally, it was more the removal of things from the character's fighting style rather than explicit changes... pretty much the opposite of what we see here with MIKE!

Mike

Mike had somewhat inconsistent "psychic" powers. In reality, the vast majority of his attacks were based on Psychic Pokemon attacks. Psybeam and Psywave had direct name rips, but worked slightly differently. Super Team was essentially Double Team. He also had the ability to read into what abilities an opponent knew they were capable of doing. His fighting style was pretty straightforward, but using the Super Team that could create 10 copies of himself, he could pull off some silly tricks.

This time around, Mike won't have the inconsistent, but rather have powers that will tentatively be called "the Force." Yes, just like Star Wars. Mike will be a more defensive fighter, using his force powers to force and punish an opponent's mistakes, as well as deal with hoards of enemies with particular ease.

Attacks

Force Punches: Punches that have some force on the end of them, giving him extended range. Whether this will be with his kicks is something I'm still debating on in my head.
Force Rush: This is what the Psybeam was, a direct shot at an opponent to do damage.
Force Wave: Like the Psywave, this will be able to knock an opponent or multiple opponents away from him
Force Coaster: Mike uses a bunch of energy to use a large force that will knock opponents up into the air, and then another that slams them back down into the ground pretty hard.

Like I said, the force is the tentative name, and honestly, the power still needs works. The force isn't going to be like the average energy projectile... it's going to be different, but I'm not 100% sure how so. I also don't want it to be completely invisible like it would seem to give the impression that it would. There are a lot of details within Mike's power to work with, and it will definitely prove to be something interesting within the context of various battles and storylines.

Tomorrow, I'll cover Krystal. No more rainbows for her. lol

Character Change Notes Part 1 of 3: Marko Man

A couple of days ago, I was randomly thinking about some of the changes that I would be making to various characters in the Marko Man series. I have decided to post changes that are being made to the first three heroes that will be introduced to the series, Marko Man, Mike, and Krystal, here over the next few days.

Marko Man

Marko Man was a very overpowered character in the Marko Man series with enough tools to survive any given situation, sometimes using tools that I just wrote in out of nowhere. The entire series is getting its power level nerfed down to slightly understandable levels, and Marko Man will be loosing some of his tools that would allow him to get out of any situation so that the audience can be like, "Hmmm... maybe he won't be able to get out of this."

Attacks

Mega Kick: Same as it ever was, but note that the Mega Punch will be gone and might stay gone.
Megodoken: Also the same as it ever was, but the Rapid Megodoken, where he's capable of launching multiple Megodokens, will be gone. That's not to say that this attack will be as stale as it seems it will be.
Blaze Dash: Can be used to run into people and possibly open up combos. It will have a minimum distance and a maximum distance, as it's more a spurt of energy used in a dash rather than a blazing fast run. He would be able to use it to get himself out of certain situations, but nine times out of ten, it won't put him in a position to counterattack immediately. Marko Man will still be quick, but there will be quicker characters.
Bazooka Blast: Since I want to make the use of energy attacks one of Marko's strengths, this attack will definitely have a much more dramatic effect.

You might notice missing attacks. Some attacks will definitely be learned later on, but moves like the Super Teleport and the Dive Bomb are gone. In the end, those attacks don't fit the mold of the kind of warrior I want to build Marko Man into. I'm probably going to make Marko Man a defensive, counterattack character or something like that, but like the rest of the heroes, he will definitely be learning as the stories go on, allowing him to grow into something much more legendary.

That's pretty much all I had for Marko. I don't have much radical changes for him so much as it's just the removal of a lot of abilities including flight (instead, he will be able to jump really really high). From whatever tools he keeps, he will still be a rather familiar character to the long time fans of the series, but there will still be a noticeable difference. Tomorrow, I'll post the changes that I made to Mike and you'll see that I've completely revamped his character from its original design. Krystal as well, on Friday.

The Future of Marko Man

So as you may or may not know, I am going to reboot the entire Marko Man series from beginning to end, completing erasing its original continuity to create a mythology that will be official in every sense of the word. Technically, this would be the fourth time I’ve ever done this, but this time, I’m sure that I have a winning formula. I’ve been writing with these characters and in this style for years, and ultimately, I’m ready to bring Marko Man and company to the big dance.

Unfortunately for some of that company, they won’t make it; many characters have been cut from the final roster. In terms of heroes, most of the big names made it, and those who are missing will likely not surprise you if you even remember them. However, a number of epic villains from both the past and the present have been removed, either because of the nature of the villain or the fact that they don’t fit the mold of how I’m trying to tell the story anymore. Some of the villains may have references to them or may return in a smaller fashion, but there are some interesting foes that are gone, and in some cases, replaced.

The action will be toned down a bit (not decreased, toned down). Early Marko man stories had a heavy DBZ influence, but just like DBZ to DBGT, the more power that was available to the characters, the more ridiculous the action was. Now obviously, I was able to compensate where DBGT didn’t, but still, I’m toning it down, and it’ll be for the better. In the end, you will actually give a damn about the fights because they’ll be more about skills and match ups rather than who’s the most powerful, and that should make the fights much more memorable.

Marko Man had originally discovered his powers in the 4th grade. In the latest reboot, he will discover them in the 10th grade. I changed this for two reasons: 1) a better chronology between the stories and 2) better writing overall. I was reading 4th grade Marko Man, and I don’t think I’ll be able to maintain that voice without lol’ing at my own writing.

A number of characters can and will be relocated. If you’re a character in the stories and you didn’t live in Rosedale, chances are you might be living in Rosedale. If you went to a high school that wasn’t Edison or Jamaica, you just might be snatching up a diploma from one of those schools. I might even be removing Jamaica High School from the list of schools where the heroes come from! Why? Writer’s convenience, that’s all.

Writer’s convenience is te reason a lot of these changes are being made, actually. When I was writing them before, I made certain things “accurate,” since characters were literally based on friends and what not, but the Marko Man series isn’t a drawn out biography or a memoir. It’s a series of super hero fiction books. The only real “non-convenience” in a sense is limiting power, as it’s easy to just separate warriors via power levels, but I’m amped for the challenge of thinking up the action based on skills and stats, strengths and weaknesses, and I’m sure that it’ll make for a much more interesting story.

Finally, how many books to expect? Well that… I’ll keep to myself. The number that I have in my head is “weird” to say the least, and it’s subject to change anyway, since I am a creative genius and might come up with a phenomenal idea on the fly…

PS: I’m definitely going to start writing the books sometime this year. I just have no idea when they’ll be available for the public.
